The Dark

Description :

A brown beer of 5.4%, it acquires its “sweet and sour” taste after resting for 18 months in oak casks. This maturation and the various blends give it an exceptional fruit quality. Queue de Charrue will surprise you with its lightness and its refreshing character.

Recipe: CARBONADE OF BEEF IN QUEUE DE CHARRUE BRUNE

INGREDIENTS (for 4 persons)

  • 1kg of carbonade of beef
  • 2 onions
  • 2 bottle of Queue de Charrue Brune 33 cl
  • 1 soupspoon of brown sugar
  • Salt, pepper
  • 1 bay leaf, 1 sprig of thyme
  • a little mustard
  • 4 carrots
  • butter

 

 

PREPARATION :

  • Brown the chunks of beef, onions and peeled and sliced carrots in butter in a pan
  • Season to taste
  • Add the thyme and the bay leaf, the brown sugar and the mustard
  • Mix well, and brown
  • Lower the cooking heat, and cover with the beer
  • Return the lid to the pan and leave to simmer for +/- 1h15
  • Serve with frites and a good beer.
